Banana Nut Bread

I got this recipe is from the Church Hill Southern Baptist cookbook. I have served it to my family and friend in Norway and they all loved it and started making it themselves. It is amazing how fast good food travels from one culture to the next.

Banana Nut Bread

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup nuts
  1. Preheat oven to 350' and grease a 9x5x3 bread pan
  2. Cream butter and sugar in Kitchen Aid for about 8 minutes
  3. Put Kitchen Aid on stir, and add eggs, bananas, flour baking soda and salt, let mix for about 2 minutes
  4. Add nuts, stir very slightly
  5. Bake 1 hour
  6. Cool at least 20 minutes before cutting Freezes very well
